Delegates of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) visit Peaceful University Communities (PUC) Project activities at Hawassa University.

Dr. Chirotaw Ayele, Interim President of Hawassa University, has warmly welcomed the delegates and stated the university’s capacity in managing international partnerships, highlighting on its longstanding collaboration with SIDA, particularly through the Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources.

Mr. Sileshi Negash, Team leader of International Relations at HU, has also introduced HU highlighting on the university's efforts and experiences on internationalization and partnership.

Mr. Ayele Adeto, Head of the President’s Office, has presented activities contributions, and the challenges faced during implementation of the SIDA-supported Peaceful University Communities (PUC) project in partnership with the Life and Peace Institute.

The SIDA delegates also expressed appreciation for the project’s progress and discussed potential avenues for expansion.
