Hawassa University hosts its fifth round of IELTS Exam.

Hawassa University, in partnership with the British Council Ethiopia, has successfully hosted the fifth round of IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam session on November 28-30, 2024 where 29 individuals sat for the paper-based IELTS exam (both IELTS Academic and IELTS General).

According to Dr. Mihireteab Abraham, Coordinator of the Centre at HU, individuals are taking the advantage of geographical proximity and other factors which make it convenient for them when deciding to take the exam at Hawassa University, and the figure shows growing demand among the community to take the IELTS exam at HU. Dr. Mihireteab mentioned that the next round of IELTS exam session at Hawassa University will be conducted in February, 2025 and the registration is already being undertaken, and IELTS exam preparation is also part of the service that the Center provides through its British Council certified trainers.
