HU Committee of ICES22 meets the International organizing Committee (IOC).

Hawassa University's main organizing committee for the 22nd International Conference of Ethiopian Studies (ICES22) holds its second meeting with members of ICES's International Organizing Committee from Addis Ababa University in Hawassa on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

The two committee reviewed the progress of preparation at HU to host the prestigious ICES at Hawassa University in September 2025.

On their second round of meetings in Hawassa, the participants discussed the necessary preparations including website development, logistics, communication, schedules and partnerships that would help in the realization of the planned conference. It was said that Hawassa University will be working in collaboration with AAU on the process.
