Hawassa University and University of Saskatchewan agree to continue Bilateral Cooperation.

University of Saskatchewan (Canada) and Hawassa University (Ethiopia) have had a long-standing collaboration aimed at forging a strategic partnership to promote excellence in research, education, and training.

The universities have renewed their partnership agreement signed by Dr. Ayano Beraso Hula (Hawassa University President) and Peter Stoicheff (President and Vice-Chancellor of University of Saskatchewan) on April 23, 2024. They have agreed consistent with the cordial and cooperative bilateral partnership in order to continue the five year academic and scholarly collaboration between the universities.

In the bilateral agreement, both universities agreed to promote an international cooperation on a basis of friendship, equality and mutual benefits related to excellence in research, education, and training.
