Hawassa University Hosts the 3rd round of IELTS Exam
Hawassa University, in partnership with the British Council, has successfully hosted the third round of IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam session on May 24-25, 2024 at the Main Campus.
A total of 25 applicants sat for the third edition of IELTS exam, a paper-based exam (both IELTS Academic and IELTS General) at Hawassa University.
Dr. Mihireteab Abraham, the coordinator of the Centre, stated that the number of individuals interested to take the ILETS exam at Hawassa University is increasing from time-to-time due to different factors including the advantage of geographical proximity and cost minimization for travel and accommodation.
According to Dr. Mihreteab, English Language Improvement Centre (ELIC) at HU has been co-facilitating the overall process of providing information and promoting the centre, candidate registration, and exam administration process in collaboration with the British Council IELTS exam team and the various concerned offices of the university, mainly College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Department of English Language & Literature, Office of the President, Office of Vice President for Administration & Development, and Office of Public & International Relations.
He added that the next round of IELTS exam session at HU is scheduled for August 24, 2024 and registration is already underway. The centre also provides IELTS exam preparation services through its British Council certified trainers.
