Advanced Solar PV Training 2024 Successfully Completed.

Advanced Solar Training organized by Sahay Solar Association (Switzerland) in collaboration with HSLU (Switzerland) and HU-IoT(Ethiopia) supported by IWB (Switzerland) that has been conducted for ten days between February 5 and 16, 2024 at Hawassa University main campus AU Hall is concluded with certification ceremony for successful trainees.

Dr. Fasika Bete, Scientific Director of HU-IoT, in his opening speech stated that the practical training for about 50 local and international participants was realized by the partnership forged between Sahay Solar Association, HU-IoT, Luceme University of Applied Science (HSLU), and the Sidama Region Energy and Mines Bureau. He pointed out that the core purpose of the workshop was to leverage the power of regional and international cooperation in creating a better future for the people in the Sidama Region and beyond. The director remarked that energy holds enormous potential for enhanced regional cooperation to meet shared goals even if they work in many other sectors. He concluded that the global dynamics tell us what our energy systems need to look like in the future – low carbon, renewables-based and high efficiency with universal access to all.
