Established in 2012, Awada campus is 40 Kms. away from Hawassa in the southern direction at a place called Awada, near the town of Yirgalem.

The campus hosts the College of Business and Economics focusing on the training of students in its regular and Continuing Education Programme (CEP) programmes in Awada, main campus and Aleta Wondo satellite campus. Its staff is engaged in research and community services including training in entrepreneurship and market-oriented farming.
