For individuals applying as second-degree candidates: Holding a recognized bachelor's degree in the same or a closely related field from an accredited higher education institution.
For individuals applying as third-degree candidates: Holding a recognized second degree in the same or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
Submission of three recommendation letters from relevant institutions.
Successfully passed the university entrance examination and achieved the required score in the GAT exam.
Submission of an official transcript from the previous educational institution.
Demonstration of work experience in relevant institutions. It is also advisable to attach any training certificate and publication related to the program of application

Registration can be completed either online or in person.
The application period is from January 21 to January 28, 2025 GC.
An application fee of 250 Birr must be paid through Commercial Bank No. 1000013481788.
Online applications can be made by creating an account on the university's portal page (https://portal.hu.edu.et) and filling in the necessary information.
In-person applications can be submitted at the Registrar's Office No. 41 by obtaining and completing the application form and attaching the required documents.
For online applicants, after completing the payment, please return to the application form and finalize your registration by attaching converted PDF versions of your educational records, bank receipt, and sponsorship documents (if applicable). In-person applicants must also provide these mentioned proofs.
Applicants who meet the admission requirements must send their official transcript from the institution they attended to the University Registrar and Alumni Affairs Directorate via email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
Applicants who have attended school abroad should bring Higher Education Equivalence Letter from Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency (HERQA) and meet all the requirements set by the University.

Applicants sponsored by a government institution must pay the tuition fee upon registration for each semester, as determined by the university.
