Welcome to HU Libraries!

HU is one of the oldest first-generation universities in Ethiopia. As a university with eight colleges, two institutes and more than 7,000 academic and administrative staff members striving to ensure the grand mission of becoming one of the top ten research universities in East Africa, HU needs to have a well organized and up to standard Library and Documentation Services.   

The Directorate of Library and Documentation Services (LDSD) is working in its full capacity to fulfill HU's vision by making its base in Main Campus via branch libraries in all seven campuses. LDSD provides services to staff and students in various forms such as lending books, digital library and institutional repository.
